Fish Tales

Boy do I have a story to tell about the one that got away!  Yep, a 12 inch Rainbow Trout that I caught on the Kern River!  I giggled like a school girl, put him on a stringer and he managed to get away....stringer and all.  Dang it!

I went fishin'!  Yeah, I am an official fisherwoman now, since a friend fixed me up with a couple of poles, a fishing vest filled with salmon eggs and some kind of psychedelic, smelly trout bait, a box of hooks and weights, etc.  Oh yeah!  I now know how to tie a fish hook!  ME!  A girly girl....putting little sticky fish eggs on a hook!  I liked it!  And...I am gonna do it again!

Anyway, Ab and I are currently on vacation, visiting my Aunt and Uncle at their beautiful home that overlooks the ocean, on the coast in Northern California!  Photographs to follow!

Take care everyone!

  2. You are not an official fisherwoman until you can bait a hook with a wiggly, slimy, live WORM.  I have done it...and of course it totally grossed me out every time.  In my thirties, I was still handing my pole to my dad to put the worm on the hook.  Just...EEEWWWWWW!  Glad you had fun!  Lisa  :-]
