Progress....via a text message!

"Good humor is a tonic for mind and body. It is the best antidote for anxiety and depression. It is a business asset. It attracts and keep friends. It lightens human burdens. It is the direct route to serenity and contentment."

Easter Basket Pictures, Images and Photos

I LOVE to laugh and even through this dreadful runaway situation, I've managed to see the humor and the absurdity in it all! This morning I was treated to the best text message I've EVER received from Abbie and I laughed until I about fell out of bed!

What did her text message say, you ask?

Ready?

CAN U SEND ME MY EASTER BASKET?!

I get the feeling that Easter just won't be quite the same in Oklahoma! And Damn it....this "grown up" stuff ain't what it's cracked up to be, is it?!

  2. The basket does rock! I gave the boys their basket early after school to enjoy for long holiday weekend. The oldest actually said, "I thought you were going to hide it" Wow life without me will be rough on him!!!

  3. You are still her mother and she is still your daughter. That's really cool, I think.

  4. No, but I will save it for you.

If you want delivery call Pizza Hut.

Only parents of addicts "get it"

  8. Tell her the easter bunny got lost following her and no one has seen him sense!!
You better not get her one!! she is too grown up for your rules and she is too grown up for your goods too. We mommies have good points and i wouldn't give her anything, tell her you spent her easter basket money replacing her sister's clothes she took.

  14. Even though I am supposedly an adult, I could go for a peep and some cadbury eggs right about now myself:)

  16. That is fantastically hysterical!!!

Not quite as funny: the voicemail I got from aimless, unemployed stepson #1 recently, telling me what a GREAT idea he had - that he move back into MY basement!! He said it'd be REALLY COOL!!!! I still laugh to myself just thinking of it!! ::shakes head::

How is it that we grew up with so much more sense & maturity?? And we didn't have any of this "Technology" that they can't live without. Geeze.

Well, I hope the Easter Bunny brings YOU a big, fat candy basket and that Abbie gets a clue :)

    Happy Easter! xo

  19. Snicker! Mine came by to visit.... and one of her first questions was "did the Easter bunny come?"

I think your daughter is having some grand realizations, and yes, missing you!

I loved "Dad and Mom's" suggested response - only I'd have been tempted to say "No, we ate it for you!"

Because I do love me some chocolate! :)

But I probably wouldn't have had the heart to say that.
