It was a very short night. I will try to sleep tonight. If I can. It's so scary. Parenting is so tough.
A troubled teen.........
Sex? Drugs? Alcohol? Sneaking out in the middle of the night?
"You can be your Mom's pride or problem." the Deputy told her last night.

...which is probably why I never attempted it. I'm sorry Ab is going through tough times. It's been my experience that, sometimes, when they go through the rebellion early, they mellow out by the time they're eighteen. Let's hope this is the case for you. Or, that she mellows out tomorrow...that would be even better. Lisa :-]

ReplyDeleteHistory will only repeat itself if you let it. Break the chain, I was a problem kid only because I was trying to get my mothers attention, I felt unloved so I lashed out to the world. Get her involved in sports and animals. And take her to a few AA meetings and show her what happens to people who take drugs and booze. Trust me she will learn. Don't try to be your daughters friend, Your her mother and her actions are all about how she views life. Remember it's not about you. ps I turned out well lol

I am praying for her. She has so many talents, that she needs to channel all that energy spent on poor choices into her art. Thirteen is such a hard age...
