It's Science Fair Time!

It's the DREADED Science Fair project time again!  Ab brought home the flyer and said..."What are we going to do this year?"

We, WE?  Do you have a frog in your pocket child?

(That's going to make more sense when you read the whole story!)

I think I'd rather have a root canal, or Chinese Water Torture, than be put through another Science Fair project!

True story.....read about our Science Fair adventure in 2002 in the letter I wrote to Mrs. Valentine, Ab's former 6th grade teacher, who coordinates this "wonderful experience" annually and says..."Please have fun helping your child on this special learning journey!"

YEAH RIGHT!

  1. Aaargh!!!! Science Projects! Why don't they just called them Parent Projects, cause we are the ones that end up doing most of the work! One year my youngest had to build a doorbell from a coffe can and two D cell batteries. It was a miracle that my father in law just so happened to be here, and he is an electrical master mind. He "helped" with the project (In fact, I think he did most of it!) and my son, of course, got an A.

I have to run, BUT I can't wait to read your letter to Mrs. Valentine.
Oh, my Kids are so scared to even bring UP the word Project around ME. LOL

  3. Okay, I hate to admit, but I loved doing Science Fair projects with my kids. Your letter was just too funny. I bet you are not the only parent to write such and she isn't the only teacher to recieve one either!!! Good Luck, Kristi
