Today I am thankful.....
-that my daughter's cardiologist cleared her for some non-heart related surgery that she's had to put off due to recurring Pericarditis; a very painful inflammation of the tissue around the heart. Her recent echocardiogram shows all clear right now!
-for my youngest son, Bubba...who remarkably is 22 years old today! I can't tell you how many times he cheated death as a child/teen. The boy has no fear and apparently a minimal amount of common sense as well!
-for my Al-Anon sponsor, who is a perfect match and we're beginning the 4th and 5th steps, starting tonight!
-I was "eligible" to upgrade my cell phone today and got Tam and I the new Samsung Propel, which has a "qwerty" keyboard, big screen, internet access and navigation capabilities! Woooo-hooo!
-for getting a new SIM card for my "old" phone and passing it on to Abbie since she lost hers about a month ago and her line wasn't eligible yet for an upgrade!
-that Abbie was extremely grateful for her "new" telephone! That's progress!!

I agree with the last one: gratitude is such a lovely trait in kids (of all ages).

It's always Thursday somewhere.
ReplyDeleteUnless it's Friday.
Sounds like a good day. I hate having to deal with phone stuff. Have fun with the new phone.

Grateful kids always make me smile. I've seen many people "make it" without common sense. Having a good mom probably helped. Glad your daughter was cleared for the needed surgery.
ReplyDeleteI came over from Katie's blog; she gave you an award. ~Mary

ReplyDeleteWonderful gratitude for today!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and happy birthday to your son!
Hey there, I tagged you on my blog, come check it out and see if you want to play
ReplyDeleteNice. I once read that it is impossible for the seeds of depression (not clinical, obviously) to grow on a thankful heart.
