Try to describe your life, or just today in 6 words! Here's mine!
Spring cleaning beckons; it can wait!
This is Cate's fun project, based upon a book she received as a gift.
She writes: The idea came from a book Joe bought me for Christmas. The book is: Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure and it was edited by Smith Magazine.
The book is based on Ernest Hemingway's short story, "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." The idea is to tell a story or describe your life in six words and the book is a collection of these. A few examples from the book jacket: "Found true love, married someone else." "After Harvard had baby with crackhead." It's interesting reading and has set me thinking in many directions so it might be worth checking out if that's your kind of thing.
The first book was so popular that they followed up with a second release. It's called Six-Word Memoirs on Love and Heartbreak: by Writers Famous and Obscure. And a third is now in the works.
Have fun people and go link back to her site with your Six Words! Click on her name above!

ReplyDeleteI had such ambitious plans for this weekend. Cleaning, heaving stuff from my house, errands, reading, writing, watching movies. Instead I've surfed, watched hockey, and... surfed. Fail!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing!
House needs cleaning. Hire a maid.
