A Little Bit of Everything

It's Tuesday already.  There's so much going on and so much on my mind, I don't know where to start.

I am sick of my house being so nasty dirty during this remodel.  There's no sense in doing much housework until we get through and there's so many other things that have taken priority. With Ab home for Spring Break, it gets even messier.  I managed to get her to clean up the kitchen while I got groceries tonite.  She actually did a really good job, so I was pleased, and told her so.  Her ADD often causes her to do everything in a hurry so she can get on to the next thing.  So, her "clean" and my "clean" are very different!

Grocery shopping took way longer than I liked.  So dinner (deli sandwiches) was pretty late. Living in such a small town causes the grocery store to become a major social center.  I swear there were tons of people that I know there tonight, and of course we had to stop and talk.  If your time is short, you're almost better off to run into the mini-mart or send the kids in to grab what you need, otherwise, you're bound to get in a lengthy conversation with someone, as the ice cream is melting.

Ab and I just finished making two 5-minute chocolate cream pies, with sugar-free chocolate pudding.  We used a graham cracker ready-made crust, so there's a little sugar, but for the most part it's low-carb.  I will take one to work tomorrow for a going away pot-luck.

I have gone 6 days without sugar, chocolate and other sweets, and I believe it's resulting in some weight loss.  In fact, today I got weighed when I had to have my leg checked out again, and I am down 5 lbs.

My fat doctor will be proud.  He's finally got my attention!   And....there's life after chocolate!

OH MY GOSH...I just read that we allllll have the new 25,000 character limits in our journals now!  Here I was writing a little bit, then saving it, and then writing a little more to see if it would save, and then I found out that I didn't need to do that after all!  Yippee!

  1. Congratulations on the 5 pounds.  My husband has ADD, and I thoroughly understand how two people in the same house can have very different ideas of clean and at least, here - organized.  I won't even try to tackle the differences in tidy.

  4. Well, congratulations on the weight loss.  Sometimes you just gotta say "no" to those desserts and chocolate, at least for a little while.  Keep up the good work!  Lisa  :-]
