My Fly Boy's Helicopter

I am a very pround Army mom!  My oldest son is a Chief Warrant Officer 2, in the 82nd Airborne Unit of North Carolina and this is a painting I believe (a copy of a big postcard I got at the museum when he graduated from flight school and can't credit the artist because I can't read his name) of the OH 58 Kiowa.....his chopper of choice!

He's still stateside, but he's expecting to be rotated to Iraq soon, and to give some of those in his unit a break.  Of course, he's very excited to be able to use his specialized skills, and mom dreads the thought.

Please keep all our soldiers in your prayers at this very difficult time.

  1. Holy moley, what a stunner of a photo!  My heart goes out to you and your son.  I'm sure he's anxious to kick some butt, but I know Mom will worry.  Tell him to write home often, don't drink the water and BE CAREFUL!  ¤Holly

  3. Oh, one more thing.  I'd love to hear the story behind this photo.  Did your son take this or is it a military photo?  It's great and I'd love to copy it, if you don't mind.  ¤Holly
