continued from previous entry...........
She told him that she wanted him to come home...I even saw her beg..."please" but he told her he'd never return to here, except to visit.
He said that she needed to understand the situation from his point....that he'd lived half his life with his "family" in Oklahoma and that's where he needed to be. (He was removed from that home at age three, and then spent nearly 5 years in foster care before we obtained custody/adoption finalized)
Also, I couldn't help but notice that he mentioned how angry he was that I had him "arrested" and held for hours for being a runaway. I explained to Abbie that he would have been arrested anywhere if he had police contact. Since running away is against the law, we had to report him to the sheriff's department as a runaway, because he was!
After 3 weeks of not knowing where he was and if he was safe, of course I contacted the police in that Oklahoma town. I was worried and needed to know if he was alright. When they found him at his birthmothers they were obligated to take him into custody. I think it's stupid for him to be mad at me about it. What the hell does he think we should do in a situation like that?
Today, Tam told me that she "talked" with Bubba on the Instant Messenger, then on the telephone. Bubba told her that his "mom" bought him a new guitar. I said, "Well, isn't that special, considering she hasn't bought him anything else his whole life!" with not just a little sarcasm.
