A Room's Transformation

Those Trading Spaces people don't have anything on us! We......Trish, Steve and I, completely and I mean completely transformed Abbie's bedroom, for way less than the one thousand dollars that they usually budget.

Of course, to get the full effect, you would have to have seen it before we began this adventure. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the "before!" Anyway, I am not so sure I'd want any visual reminder of what it used to be!

Those of us that truly know Abigail can attest to that! Let me hear AMEN!

The beige carpet was ripped out and replaced with parquet wood flooring. Abbie liked the idea of a dance floor type floor and said she'd soon be sliding across it with her socks.

The motive to my madness in putting down a wood floor is simple....she RUINS carpet. In addition to having hidden frogs and spiders and the like, under her bed without her mother's permission, she is very interested in creating chemistry "projects" and has a proclivity to spill food and drinks.

Abigail is known to mix a variety of "stuff" from cake mix to Comet and wall patch compound, to mudpies and then store it under her bed.

WHY does she do that?

How do I know?......but I believe she's destined to be a scientist and find the cure for the common cold, or at least baldness!

And....then maybe she can support me in my old age!
